9 Ways to Show Your True Colors

If you have read the first blog of the year, then you know there’s a surge of confidence gracing my words, pages and aesthetic. However, if you are just seeing this blog; please reference my Word of the Year post.

I adore the song True Colors by Cindy Lauper.  There is so much that resonates.  “… don’t be afraid …to show them Your true colors. True colors are beautiful. Like a rainbow.”  

We all have darkness that nests within. The small ego voice that says, “Don’t show them who you are.”

Better yet, do not listen to the ego; rise up & show you as the beautiful rainbow of chakra colors and aura that you are.

Courage 

Stand by Commitment Courageous Magical Blessings ConfidenceCourage is showing others who you are.  This is not the mask that is placed upon you and/or who you may believe that you are; rather this is who you are when you strip away the facades and stand with the Divine part of you.

Not everyone will find you to be their cup of tea, and that is just fine. Those who resonate with you, will also vibe with you.

Above all please stop asking permission to be you.

9 ways to Sprinkle a Dash of Boldness

  • Know your boundaries. Self care is a mega form of boundaries
  • Self Care is essential. Make time to do things that love you up!
  • Mentally allow yourself to change; ebb and flow like the seasons. Life will not remain constant and let yourself grow by learning, experiencing and living.
  • Physically love you up with nourishing foods, work out and rest with sleep and/or  just lazy days.
  • Emotionally allow yourself to feel. Open the flow and allow you to feel your feelings on a deep level. Do not dismiss them; invite them in and explore why you have these feelings and gently release this as lessons that can help you be happy, successful and amazing.
  • Spiritually connect with your version of Spirit. Have a nice conversation
  • Meditate; this does not have to be strict. This could be a 5 min. tea break. Sit and let your mind wander.
  • Be mindful of what you say to yourself. Speak lovingly, gently and softly to you.
  • Look at what you are thinking about others. Is this a way for you to focus on them, rather than looking at what you need and want.

Rise up and be you! There is no one like you; you are destined to be you, so why no just do it.

13 Ways to Let Go of Anxiety

Anxiety can show up in a variety of forms; sometimes it shows in the most unexpected moments. Please do not worry nor fret.  Everyone has anxiety from time to time. For some this may be a moment that passes in time and others can become stuck in the anxious pool.  What is the most important is the lack of judgement when one has anxiety showing. Rather this is more about how to let go of such.

Anxiety can be the repeating of worries, concerns and fears in an unhealthy manner.  It is like a switch turns on and an obsessive mantra begins over and over.

What Anxiety Can Look Like: 

Physical form:

There are a couple of concerns that may occur.  One is the physicality of anxiety showing in your physical body:

  • heart palpitations
  • sweating
  • trembling/shaking
  • chest pain
  • shortness of breath
  • numbness or tingling
  • tense muscles
  • headaches
  • neck tension

There are times when a panic attack arises and the physicality of the situation mimics a heart attack.

Emotional Form: 

  • feelings of apprehension or dread
  • anticipating the worse
  • trouble concentrating
  • feeling tense or jumpy
  • irritable
  • loss of memory; feels as if wiped the slate clean

Ways That Anxiety Can Show

  • nail biting
  • picking at hangnails
  • self-harm
  • throwing up and/or bulimia
  • insomnia
  • fear of objects or items; using this as an excuse to not do something.  Afraid of spiders so, refuse to garden.
  • refuse to attend parties or other activities because afraid to speak to others.
  • perfectionism
  • living in the past with enormous flashbacks
  • OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
  • doubting yourself over and over

You have choices when anxiety shows up in your life.  Either fight it or learn from this. If you have severe concerns or physically harm yourself, please seek medical assistance. 

  1. Stop resisting anxiety or anxious moments. This makes it worse. Letting go does not mean stopping. This means registering, re-learning a better way to proceed when anxiety arrives.
  2. Accept that you cannot “control” everything or everyone. You are responsible for yourSelf; take good care of you.
  3.  Use or write positive affirmations.
  4. Commitment to yourSelf to learn a new way of being. Re-train your body and mind.
  5. Meditation. Use a meditation app, take a meditation class.  Guided meditations are a great way to begin.
  6. Be gentle with yourSelf.  If you made a mistake; so be it; this is not a life sentence.
  7. Let It Go, Let it Flow, Doom, Gloom, Bloom Anxiety AnxietiesLet go of the past and the future.  When you release a hurt or a worry then you are able to be in the present; this is where you can have fun, thrive and feel alive. Go away doom and allow you to bloom.
  8. Write it out.  Journal about this. Allow yourSelf to free form and flow the concerns or anxieties from you. Or use writing prompts.
  9. Paint or Draw what shows up for you.
  10. Gentle stretches or yoga
  11. Reiki is a natural relaxing technique that can help calm you.
  12. Sing , listen or play music.  Music is said to calm the savage beast.  Let the music flow over your sound waves and be present with the music. Pick up an instrument and strum, drum, pluck away the stressors.
  13. Spray lavender essential oil spray or burn a lavender scented candle.

I have personally worked, guided many individuals with anxiety along with myself.  It took many years for me to understand that the pain in my body was anxiety.  Many of the anti-anxiety ideas have arisen due to my or a dear heart needs for restorative calmness. As a parent of Autistic individuals I often found myself in the midst of anticipated outcomes; just in case a meltdown occurs.  As my sons have grown older, the need for anticipation has lessened and yet, it has taken years to relax, release and restore myself in a harmonious manner.

Why There is No Separation With Divine Will

There is no separation with Divine Will as the ego would wish you to believe. A negative premise to keep you locked away from achieving your greatness.

Separation can be described as an egotistic nuance of mass mischievousness.  The ego would lead you to believe that you are alone and that no one cares for you.  This is simply not true.  We are never alone, and Spirit always cares about us.

It is the disallowance of separation of Self from the small self aka ego into the acceptance of Higher Self.  Which connects us all to the Holy Trinity of our Heart, Soul and Divine.  This is capricious in nature that merely suggests that one is alone; it is the reverence to dispel and disallow this nonsense to take place.

Undo the TEACHINGS

We are taught many things in our lives.  Some is from those who love us, and some of this is from society.  All of which is outside of our Self-  our true Self.  This is where the separation can occur. A whim that seems logical, and it is completely illogical.  Why would the Divine Spirit wish for one to suffer or think that they are less?  Divine Spirit does not wish this upon us, yet more often that not, this is what occurs.

We enter into an agreement to be taught via love; unfortunately, these teachings are from those who were also taught in this manner.  The human evolution risking its soul progression and evolution into a manner that seems daunting.  An old paradigm that no longer serves us; yet, why does one stay.

Fear! 

In my previous blog, “How the Power of Forgiving My Ego Saved Me,” I describe how fear is the underlying notion that one cannot move, things are great just the way they are.  What we should really be saying is conditional love and expectations.

Conditional Love 

When we were younger we were taught via an old human conditioning.  If you do this, then that will occur.  For a moment ponder Pavlov’s dogs and the conditioned stimulus.  The dog was presented a treat.  The saliva would lead to drool as the dog recalled how wonderful the treat tasted.  Sit- good boy!  The dog receives a treat.  Quite quickly the dog learned to complete the sitting task with ease as it really likes the treat.

Now how is this any different from parenting.  A parent desires a certain outcome.  All parents have different cultural views; therefore they have different ideal outcomes.  If you do this, then you are rewarded with a good girl/atta boy and maybe a treat.  Through the power of control; the Free Spirit upon which you were born was reduced and dissolved into a smaller self called the ego.  This is the makings for conditioned love.  Thus, through no fault of your own, you were taught if this, then that.  Slowly the ego creating notions that can create commotion as one grows older.

Expectations

Hence the human birth of expectations.  An expectation can be defined as a mental state of looking forward to something.  Expectations are a way to set one up for failure.  When you go in with a certain idea and this does not happen, how do you feel?  Failure, yet Spirit did not wish for you to feel this way.  Expectations are from the ego- aka Free Will; Divine Will does not wish you to feel this way.  Divine Will merely guides you to a solution, idea or experience; Free Will is when one loses control and the mental chatter looms into the picture.  This is almost like a dark shadow lurks on the outside waiting, searching for a way in.

False Expectations

Then what seemed wonderful can turn sour.  How many times have you heard of a failed marriage or a failed experiment or even a broken heart.  The human conditioning of expectations set one up for the acceptance of a certain way, and when this does not occur, darkness of the ego separates from the Divine and the peaceful harmony of Spirit disengages and the power of Free Will takes over.

Divine Will cannot stand in place of Free Will.  It can merely suggest, hint and guide. It cannot do as it is not a doing; this is a being & Spirit will patiently wait for your return from separate expectations.

Return of Divine Will

Magical Blessings Soul Bursting ForthHow does one return to Divine Will?  Let go of the old patterns and triggers that are blocking you. There is a darkness the looms and lurks; Spirit will graciously guide you; create ways to help make suggestive moves.  For example, maybe you have stayed way too long in a job that no long serves you.  You were shown a new door way; yet, lingered way too long. You may have been fired or a new manager made your work life horrible.  Yes, this was Divine Will saying time to move along your path; but, Free Will kept you in fear and Free Will does not always mean great things.  Often times is it almost the polar opposite.

You can change your mind at any time; adjust the sails of wings and turn to Spirit and say, “Help me let go, take flight and soar.”  You may even wish to acknowledge the fear of change.  I know it is time for me to move to a new home; yet have no clue where to go.  “Dear Divine, I know my time here has concluded; yet I am frightened that I do not know where I am going.  Please show me the path to my new home and help me to silence the fears in a positive manner that respects all of my being.” and so it is.

Ask and You shall Receive

Ask and you shall receive; however do not fret, worry nor believe that it may not happen.  I had a Divine Will moment that took 2 years to manifest.  Trust me, when I say “Been there, done that.” What are you practicing? Faith and Trust in Divine Will & Spirit.  

In all honesty, I had many egotistic monstrosities keeping me from moving at one point in my life.  I finally had enough, let it go, got out of my way and the most Magical occurrences began to shift and align for me.
