Empaths Let Go of Others & Embrace Your Soul

If you are like me, then you are an empath. If you have stumbled upon or discovered this blog, you are an empath.

What is an empath? An empath is someone who can feel the affects of other’s energies. This is not just a highly sensitive individual; this goes much deeper. It affects you on all levels. Empaths can feel physical, spiritually, emotional and mental energies. They do not necessarily read minds, but they can sure feel stuff. The good, bad and ugly stuff.

How does this Look

Empaths are often quiet achievers and introverts. They often feel drained and exhausted when they are out and about. This is an empath who has not yet learned to protect and clear themselves from other’s energies that they absorbed.

There can be many misunderstandings towards an empath. They may seem standoffish, distant, blocking and hiding away. This is an empath who has not learned how to better handle their gift.

Being in a mall, grocery store takes much effort and sometimes just plain wears you out.

Some cannot stand to see violence in anything: life, movies, video games, songs.

World Energy Concerns

When things happen in the world, emapths are closely tied to world energy. Viewing devastating news and occurrences is difficult. Be mindful of social media. As an empath you need to identify what stresses you and be okay with telling others no thank you.

Being an empath helps your intuitive gift as far as helping others, but do not forget to help you first. It is like the oxygen mask on the airplane; you need to cover you first, then you can assist; but recognize when you need to rest or even when you have to walk away and be okay with it.

Are There Benefits

Often empaths are working with people, in nature, or with animals. These are the tireless teachers, caretakers and stewards of the earth.

They are usually great imaginative storytellers and are inquisitively expanding their minds all of the time with an intense quest for knowledge.

Just because they may be at home does not mean that they stop. Their overly active minds just keep going. Which can cause them burnouts and a need for downtime and rest.

Usually they are creative and self-expressive in writing, singing, music, art and such.

They are the listeners of life. Poof, you are in the grocery store line and you know all about everyone in line; it seems as if everywhere you go, someone pours out their heart and soul to you. You smile and walk away.

How to Shield Your Energy

  1. Recognize that you are an empath.
  2. Drop the energy vampires, negative naysayers and narcissists  (an energy vampire is a person who steals your energy by arguing, belittling or criticizing; or constant complaining ( you feel drained to be around this person/people).
  3. Place a white shield of angelic light around you before you leave your home and/or spray yourself with an essential oil.
  4. Add positive energy into your living/work space.
  5.  Wear a crystal. Go to a crystal store; hang out near the crystals and let a crystal choose you. (I am known to tuck these in my pants pockets or bra).
  6. Place crystals around your living/work space.
  7. Upon returning home drink a glass of alkaline water and/or spray an essential oil .
  8. Take a shower or bath.
  9. Place live plants in your living space. (African violets are amazing.)
  10. Be mindful of your thoughts; replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
  11. Meditate. Let it Go, Let it Flow.
  12. Seek assistance from an energy healer.

9 Ways to Show Your True Colors

If you have read the first blog of the year, then you know there’s a surge of confidence gracing my words, pages and aesthetic. However, if you are just seeing this blog; please reference my Word of the Year post.

I adore the song True Colors by Cindy Lauper.  There is so much that resonates.  “… don’t be afraid …to show them Your true colors. True colors are beautiful. Like a rainbow.”  

We all have darkness that nests within. The small ego voice that says, “Don’t show them who you are.”

Better yet, do not listen to the ego; rise up & show you as the beautiful rainbow of chakra colors and aura that you are.

Courage 

Stand by Commitment Courageous Magical Blessings ConfidenceCourage is showing others who you are.  This is not the mask that is placed upon you and/or who you may believe that you are; rather this is who you are when you strip away the facades and stand with the Divine part of you.

Not everyone will find you to be their cup of tea, and that is just fine. Those who resonate with you, will also vibe with you.

Above all please stop asking permission to be you.

9 ways to Sprinkle a Dash of Boldness

  • Know your boundaries. Self care is a mega form of boundaries
  • Self Care is essential. Make time to do things that love you up!
  • Mentally allow yourself to change; ebb and flow like the seasons. Life will not remain constant and let yourself grow by learning, experiencing and living.
  • Physically love you up with nourishing foods, work out and rest with sleep and/or  just lazy days.
  • Emotionally allow yourself to feel. Open the flow and allow you to feel your feelings on a deep level. Do not dismiss them; invite them in and explore why you have these feelings and gently release this as lessons that can help you be happy, successful and amazing.
  • Spiritually connect with your version of Spirit. Have a nice conversation
  • Meditate; this does not have to be strict. This could be a 5 min. tea break. Sit and let your mind wander.
  • Be mindful of what you say to yourself. Speak lovingly, gently and softly to you.
  • Look at what you are thinking about others. Is this a way for you to focus on them, rather than looking at what you need and want.

Rise up and be you! There is no one like you; you are destined to be you, so why no just do it.

6 Simple Ways to Increase Your Confidence Part 1

In this part of the two part series we will explore confidence. What it means and how you can have more of it in your life. In my previous blog, What’s Your Word of the Year, I share that my word of the year is confidence.

You may wonder how can I convey confidence to you; who better than one who is actually living the change; rather than one more person barking an idea at you. I do not know about you, but I am super tired of “people” yakking about subjects they have not experienced.

What Does Confidence Mean

The word begins with the meaning the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.

Let’s take a deeper look. It is the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.

Grateful heart Gratitude Self Love Self Care Magical BlessingsOr going even deeper. It is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.

Once upon a time due to a domestic violence situation, I learned to distrust, disallow and second guess everything. It shook my confidence to the core.

I am no longer that person.

Brimming

I am brimming with confidence. It is another way to say that I am full of confidence. Or what I like to call True Voice, Authentic Voice, and Who I am.

Good Vibrations

Imagine for a moment that you have your own unique style and quirks. You are not afraid to be you. You know you and use your voice in a positive manner that is beneficial to you.  When you speak your truth you will find yourself surrounded by others who have the same vibration. They may not seem like your peps, and yet, they are in your vibrational allegory.

Yep, that may mean that people who once seemed cool and adored you, may now find you off putting and vice versa. Your true authentic voice and vibration will light your path. This is confidence at its best. Being brave and courageous to unequivocally you! 

6 Simple Ways to Increase Your Confidence

  1. Groom yourself: It seems obvious and yet it is amazing on how good you can feel with a shower or bath. I have been in a horrible feeling and poof as if by magic the water cleansed me both inside and outside.
  2. Dress Nicely: Get dressed. There was a point in time where I would slide out of bed, run a brush through my tangled mass of hair, pull it back and throw on a shirt and shorts; no care, just going through the motion. We all need days like this to rest and veg; but not when it is day after day. Get dressed this will boost your mood big time.
  3. Anxiety and/or depression zappers: Stop worrying about the past and doubting the future.  Live right now at this moment. Right now you are reading this blog post. When you are done you have moved to another moment. Go slow; step by step. There is no race.Dream Big Make Happen Choice Chance Change Magical Blessings
  4. Mindful breathing. This can be meditation. Taking a 5 mins midday break where you breath deeply. Let your mind wander. Breath in and out. Just breath and let go of worry, anxiety.
  5. Speak slowly. Give yourself the benefit of not racing to an answer. If you really mean no. Inhale, take a deep breath, exhale and slowly say, no, thank you. When you slow you speech, you are able to connect with your true feelings. It is okay to say no.
  6. Set a goal/new habit. It takes 21 days to create a habit and 28 days for this to stick. Choose a goal/new habit. Set aside time and work on it for 15 mins each day. Mark on a calendar your success and at the end of 21/28 days celebrate. Not a small celebration. Make this huge!

You Can Do it! 

No matter how many times your have tried or where you are beginning, be proud of yourself for trying. You are an amazing, brave individual. Now go forth and build your confidence one step at a time.
