7 Spiritual Lessons From Trees

All of my life, I have been luckily surrounded by the spiritual lessons of trees. Whether these were in my yard,  large city parks near my home or now being the lucky owner of an undeveloped forest.

As a child I would play in the forest for hours at a time. I danced with fairies, spoke with elves and Tree Unconditional Love Spiritual Lessons Magical Blessings enjoyed the whinny of unicorns. To me, the forest is a magical place; even now.

This is a place I often go to restore from life’s stressors, let go of anxieties and re-fuel my well. There are times when a very tattered human being enters a forest and a happy, whimsical being leaves.

Tree’s Feelings

Trees have emotions and feelings just like any living person, animal or creature.  Check out the book ” The Hidden Life of Trees: What they feel, How they Communicate- Discoveries From a Secret World  “ * by Peter Wohllenben

The love of a tree is everything!

Japanese Forest Bathing

Shinrin-yoku is a term that means “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” This was developed in the 1980’s in Japan for health benefits. According to Dr. Qing Li is the author of  Forest Bathing: How Trees Can Help You Find Health and Happiness.” *

There is mindfulness to Shinrin-yoku.

  • Go to a Forest.
  • Walk slowly.
  • Breathe.
  • Open all your senses.
  • Allow the forest to fill you with oxygen.
  • This is the healing way of Shinrin-yoku Forest Therapy,
the medicine of simply being in the forest.

Meditation with Trees

Please note If you practise yoga then you may know tree pose/Vrksasana.

  • Stand near a tree.
  • Look at a tree.
  • Bring your hands over your heart. Inhale and ask the tree to send your heart love. Exhale
  • Be open to the tree sending you love.
  • Bring your hands into prayer form.
  • Raise one foot up to your knee and hold. If this is difficult, then place your foot near your ankle.
  • Tree Meditation Spiritual Lesson From Trees Magical Blessings Inhale for the count of 7 as you stretch your arms up.
  • Release your hands from one another and sway your arms like a tree in the breeze.
  • Hold for a count of 4.
  • You may keep your eyes open or closed.
  • Bring hands back into prayer form.
  • Exhale for a count of 6 as you lower your arms and rest you prayer hands on your heart.
  • Lower your foot.
  • Repeat on the other side.
  • After you have repeated this on both sides ask: “Tree may I give you a hug?”
  • The tree will most likely say yes. Go give the tree a hug and allow the tree’s energy to hug you.
  • Remain for as long as you need.
  • Please thank the tree before you go. “Thank you dear tree for sharing your love with me.”
  • Last thing, ask the tree if it will be your friend. “Tree will you please be my friend.”

You have meditated with a tree and made a new friend.

7 Spiritual Lessons From Trees

  1. Trees are welcoming. They offer unconditional love.
  2. A tree has a humble beginning. They are planted as a tiny seed and grow into massive beings just like you
  3. Trees are strong, but flexible. A tree needs to be able to sway in the wind or they would surly break. Sway like a tree during stressful moments in life, and you will remain strongly unbroken. Be like a tree who has a strong root system and are flexible: survive and thrive.
  4. Tree Nature Forest They may stand alone, but are connected to their forest. Just as you are an individual; you are also connected in a unified way to the collective consciousness and those around you known and unknown.
  5. Be patient. They do not become their size nor strength overnight It takes years, decades for a tree to grow so large. Patience is divine; God’s in charge and you will receive what you need in divine timing. Many give up just before the miracle occurs.
  6. The woods adapt to their surroundings. Each season is a time for its own beauty.  When fall arrives the leaves change and then let go as they fall away in preparation for the upcoming winter. During winter they add extra layers and when spring arrives they welcome their new growth and then fully showing their full beauty during summer.
  7. Trees are timeless and wise. They improve as they age from all of their growth, lessons and living; just as we humans do.

Natasha, I would love to learn more about meditation.

Empths Let Go Embrace Your Soul Magical Blessings

Empaths Let Go of Others & Embrace Your Soul

If you are like me, then you are an empath. If you have stumbled upon or discovered this blog, you are an empath.

What is an empath? An empath is someone who can feel the affects of other’s energies. This is not just a highly sensitive individual; this goes much deeper. It affects you on all levels. Empaths can feel physical, spiritually, emotional and mental energies. They do not necessarily read minds, but they can sure feel stuff. The good, bad and ugly stuff.

How does this Look

Empaths are often quiet achievers and introverts. They often feel drained and exhausted when they are out and about. This is an empath who has not yet learned to protect and clear themselves from other’s energies that they absorbed.

There can be many misunderstandings towards an empath. They may seem standoffish, distant, blocking and hiding away. This is an empath who has not learned how to better handle their gift.

Being in a mall, grocery store takes much effort and sometimes just plain wears you out.

Some cannot stand to see violence in anything: life, movies, video games, songs.

World Energy Concerns

When things happen in the world, emapths are closely tied to world energy. Viewing devastating news and occurrences is difficult. Be mindful of social media. As an empath you need to identify what stresses you and be okay with telling others no thank you.

Being an empath helps your intuitive gift as far as helping others, but do not forget to help you first. It is like the oxygen mask on the airplane; you need to cover you first, then you can assist; but recognize when you need to rest or even when you have to walk away and be okay with it.

Are There Benefits

Often empaths are working with people, in nature, or with animals. These are the tireless teachers, caretakers and stewards of the earth.

They are usually great imaginative storytellers and are inquisitively expanding their minds all of the time with an intense quest for knowledge.

Just because they may be at home does not mean that they stop. Their overly active minds just keep going. Which can cause them burnouts and a need for downtime and rest.

Usually they are creative and self-expressive in writing, singing, music, art and such.

They are the listeners of life. Poof, you are in the grocery store line and you know all about everyone in line; it seems as if everywhere you go, someone pours out their heart and soul to you. You smile and walk away.

Empaths Shield Energy Loving Light Magical Blessings

How to Shield Your Energy

  1. Recognize that you are an empath.
  2. Drop the energy vampires, negative naysayers and narcissists  (an energy vampire is a person who steals your energy by arguing, belittling or criticizing; or constant complaining ( you feel drained to be around this person/people).
  3. Place a white shield of angelic light around you before you leave your home and/or spray yourself with an essential oil.
  4. Add positive energy into your living/work space.
  5.  Wear a crystal. Go to a crystal store; hang out near the crystals and let a crystal choose you. (I am known to tuck these in my pants pockets or bra).
  6. Place crystals around your living/work space.
  7. Upon returning home drink a glass of alkaline water and/or spray an essential oil .
  8. Take a shower or bath.
  9. Place live plants in your living space. (African violets are amazing.)
  10. Be mindful of your thoughts; replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
  11. Meditate. Let it Go, Let it Flow.
  12. Seek assistance from an energy healer.

Serenity Inside Job Magical Blessings

Serenity is an Inside Job Part 3

Serenity is a way for you to make courageous and wise decisions that will change your life. This was my word for 2017. I have not ever chosen a word to be my word of the year. So, I was not sure how this would show up in my life.

Wise Courage

Serenity Inside Job Change Chance Transition Transformation Magical Blessings Courage WisdomSo many changes showed up for me. There have been days where my head spins and I wonder where I get off the out of control roller coaster, and then suddenly things calm down. The best attribute for my personal growth was the disallowance of being a peace keeper. Early on in my life, I learned to be given love was through peaceful negations with family members. In truth, this is not the greatest affect for anyone. Therefore, being courageous to walk away from things that did not serve me was one of the bravest and wisest experiences for serenity.

You, too, be courageous to walk way from anything that no longer severs you. If this sounds wonky, think of this as a mission and if the mission went away or feels like it is over; move on. You will be glad that you did.

Clarifying Self-Confidence

Intuitive and serenity go hand and hand for you. I found a much deeper intuitive connection that lead me to more  self- confidence. We are all here to grow and learn. Even the bravest and most fearless have things that can stop them in their tracks. You need to keep moving, learning and growing. Let go of complacency. Move onward and discover that through clarity your self-confidence arises in a whole new way.

This may require change. It may be an big adjustment. Step back and be gentle with yourself during a time of transition. There is no race. You will not win nor lose; it is all about the wonderful discoveries along the way. Let go of expectations and let yourself grow, learn and courageously shift.

Bringing it to my Soul

Dance Spirit Mountain Rejuvenation Healing Divine Magical Blessings

Dance of Spirit @Magical Blessings

Serenity brought me much closer to my soul. Each step and shift adjust my sails and brought me to other destinations unknown. A destination does not have to be a location. This can also be a moment in time. A way for your to traverse the new by letting go of the old.

Let it Go, Let it Flow meditations and resurgence of painting @ my Heart Loft brought so much serene moments  for me. Yes, this brought forth much change; in fact I was in transition all of 2017. Yet, this also brought for one of my greatest dreams to build my dream home. 2018 will bring forth this dream and it all began with calm, courageous change.

I can do it!

You can do it!

Let’s do this together!
