Mindful Meditation

Mindfulness is a way of being aware.

This is another way of saying that you are aware of your thoughts, emotions or experiences on a moment to moment basis.

Oh so, you mean that being in the present moment stuff.

Yes,  this is the present moment idea, and you also do not have to be of Eastern principles.

Mindfulness 

Let’s break this down.

When you are being mindful, you are not practising this every waking moment. That is too much for anyone.

This is about being present in the moment for about 20 mins. I like to say 17 minutes. The human mind is active and focused for about 52 mins max and then needs a break.

The 17 mins can help you be in the moment and voila you are being  mindful.

Just think,  you take a break every 52 mins,  and this can provide a way for you to be detached toLight Enters Dark Mindful Meditation an outcome. You take 17 mins to practice being aware of your surroundings, feelings and/or emotions.

Poof, you are being mindful.

This helps you relax and restore you.

Re-Train and Re-Wire

First of all, nothing is absolute, and it will take time for you to adjust your brain waves and thought patterns.

Be patient with you.

This is called metacognition and you are re-training your mind.

Yes, you may fail.

So what! Wipe the slate clean and start over.

If you were like me as a child, I was the queen of Do-Over(s). I would calll out Do-Over when something did not go my way or I made a mistake. Poof, it was done, no crying or worrying and I was back at it in no time.

Have you ever read “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert?

There is a scene in the book and movie where the character is trying to meditate.  That’s intense meditation. Now, do not get me wrong, I’m not making fun nor putting down this form of meditation. Notice I said form. There are many meditations and meditation forms.

It’s okay to let your mind wander with mindful meditation. This is also not to be confused with Transcendal Meditation which is more of a higher state of being.

Allow you to synergize with you, your breath and your heart beat.

Mindful Meditation

  2. Notice your legs. Do you wish for them to be criss cross applesauce? Or if you are sitting in a chair, place your feet on the ground.
  3. Straighten your upper body to feel comfortable, not super sitff and not slouching.
  4. Notice your arms. Are your palms facing up or down? Are you resting your hands on your knees or clenching your fists. Please open up your hands and allow your hands to be relaxed.
  5. Soften your gaze. Do not try to “focus.” Allow your eyes gently close or fall down,
  6. Feel your breath. Feel your heart beat. They are in sync. Allow the air to flow to and from your mouth and lungs. This helps your heart rythm to remain natural and in a flow.
  7.  Be kind to your wandering mind. If your mind wanders so be it. Sit and notice where your thoughts go. Inhale and as you exhale come back to the present meditation.
  8. When you are ready to open your eyes flutter them open like a butterfly’s wings.

9 Ways to Show Your True Colors

If you have read the first blog of the year, then you know there’s a surge of confidence gracing my words, pages and aesthetic. However, if you are just seeing this blog; please reference my Word of the Year post.

I adore the song True Colors by Cindy Lauper.  There is so much that resonates.  “… don’t be afraid …to show them Your true colors. True colors are beautiful. Like a rainbow.”  

We all have darkness that nests within. The small ego voice that says, “Don’t show them who you are.”

Better yet, do not listen to the ego; rise up & show you as the beautiful rainbow of chakra colors and aura that you are.

Courage 

Stand by Commitment Courageous Magical Blessings ConfidenceCourage is showing others who you are.  This is not the mask that is placed upon you and/or who you may believe that you are; rather this is who you are when you strip away the facades and stand with the Divine part of you.

Not everyone will find you to be their cup of tea, and that is just fine. Those who resonate with you, will also vibe with you.

Above all please stop asking permission to be you.

9 ways to Sprinkle a Dash of Boldness

  • Know your boundaries. Self care is a mega form of boundaries
  • Self Care is essential. Make time to do things that love you up!
  • Mentally allow yourself to change; ebb and flow like the seasons. Life will not remain constant and let yourself grow by learning, experiencing and living.
  • Physically love you up with nourishing foods, work out and rest with sleep and/or  just lazy days.
  • Emotionally allow yourself to feel. Open the flow and allow you to feel your feelings on a deep level. Do not dismiss them; invite them in and explore why you have these feelings and gently release this as lessons that can help you be happy, successful and amazing.
  • Spiritually connect with your version of Spirit. Have a nice conversation
  • Meditate; this does not have to be strict. This could be a 5 min. tea break. Sit and let your mind wander.
  • Be mindful of what you say to yourself. Speak lovingly, gently and softly to you.
  • Look at what you are thinking about others. Is this a way for you to focus on them, rather than looking at what you need and want.

Rise up and be you! There is no one like you; you are destined to be you, so why no just do it.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the color yellow. This is our embodiment into our personal power, will, mental abilities and taking responsibility for one’s life.

However, what does this truly mean?

 

LIGHT ENERGY

We are energy light beings who thrive on energy.  This energy very much brings us expansion. Now close your eyes and imagine the Northern Lights.  Our inner light very much dances in harmony with our energy just as the Northern Lights.

 

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA IS yellow

This inner light helps empower our bodies.  We moved into meditation with my blogs about  Sacral Chakra or Root  Chakra to help align these Chakras.  Next, we will work with the Solar Plexus Chakra; the Solar Plexus is the color yellow and/or golden.  The color yellow appears all around us.  We wear it, eat it and use all of our senses to enjoy the color yellow.

Energy healing seems complex; and in some ways it can be; but mostly the Divine Spirit wishes for this to be gentle and simple.  Or what I like to call Simply Divine. One of the Simply Divine ways to help re-balance your energies is through nourishment.

NURTURING OURSELVES

Northern LightsClose your eyes and place your hands just above your navel.  Imagine a yellow colored lemon just above your navel. The lemon is delicious and succulent . There is an yellow light that flows from the lemon.  Imagine the light dancing just above your navel region; just as the Northern Lights dance in the sky.  Ask Spirit to help you illuminate your navel with this syrupy yellow light.  Let this pour into you.  Inhale and exhale in a natural rhythm that syncs with your heart beat. Sit like this for 5-6 minutes.

Say: 
I am responsible . 

I am open to power flowing into me. 

I am powerfully wise.

 

NOURISHING OURSELVES

Lemon water mint solar plexus Chakra

Mint Lemon Water

Food brings forth good energies or bad energies depending on how we choose to nourish ourselves. I do not know about you, but I love lemon water.  Pour nice cool water into a pitcher. Next, slice 1-2 lemons and place in cool water pitcher.  Also, wash and place 1-2 springs of mint in the pitcher.  Chill for an hour. Pour a glass of mint lemon water.  Swish this in your mouth, swallow and allow this to flow down your throat. Envision this flowing all the way to just above your navel and flushing this all around the abdomen. Spreading and flowing in a fluid manner with your personal sweetness-filling you in this region and expanding throughout you. The light energies of the lemon water pulses through you. You are connecting and balancing yourself in a sweet manner full of Divine Love of Spirit
