6 Simple Ways to Lessen Anxiety by Raising Your Confidence Part 2

In my two previous blogs Word of the Year and 6 Simple Ways to Increase Your Confidence, I share insights on how this came to be for me. I do not know about you, but I am sick of people talking about things they have never been through.

Anxiety

It is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

Anxiety can shatter one’s life, relationships and so much more.

The biggest crush is the one to you. I am talking about disappointment. How many times have you tried to not worry- “I’ve got this,” and then whamo, 10 steps backwards. It is a vicious cycle that is often misunderstood.

Misunderstood

Anxiety, Misunderstood, Raising Confidence Magical BlessingsA lack of confidence can bring forth much anxiety and vice versa. Once upon a time, I was fearless, nothing and no one could smash my hopes and dreams. I was a master manifestor and the epitaph of confidence. Unfortunately, a family circumstance began to seep its vengeance into me. The scariest part is that the divergence was not obvious . It was a slow unseen infiltrator.  Little by little worry and doubt began to show up. It festered in such a way that was mostly oblivious to me. Experience after experience brought forth illness and I was provide my continuance of living via another’s donated bones.

Poof Just Like That

This time it became much more intense. Just what is happening?

I became an anxiety machine, but not the kind that was out in the open. Rather I was a closet anxiety mongrel. This lead to an unhealthy domestic violence relationship and the anxiety grew worse.

I do not write this for pittance, rather for your relief.  I understand what it is like to have no fear, become full of fear and work this out of my system. Been there done that and I am still evolving, exploring and growing

Blasting Through The Anxious Worry

Anxiety, Raising, Raise, Confidence, Magical BlessingsIn order to heal, I needed to deeply forgiveness myself for being lead into this matter. Next, I cleared myself over and over with much love, light and plenty of those who held the key for me to heal. I just had to ask for these keys. Sorry, there is not one answer. Rather it is like having a personal riddle to unraveling.

Unraveling I did, along with disavowing, dispelling and anything from this or past life times.  This takes patience, tears ( well at least for me). I used to not cry and now, oh boy watch out. That’s okay I realized that this is not a curse, but a benefit to feel so deeply. And it is also okay to ask for assistance; there have been times when I really tried to clear something from me, but I am too close, so I needed others to help me.

Real and Raw 

Anxiety became my go to fall down and fall back. Again, I am not looking for pity, rather let my experience be your teaching tool and key to your success.

Turning the Key to Success

As I began to turn the key, I found less anxiety. Most of all I began to see through the clearing my dashed confidence. Step by step I discovered ways that built my confidence. Each step of confidence made me less anxious. This is to not say that I do not have anxiety, I do; it was much less.

Anxiety is my Super Power

Sounds silly, crazy and it probably is; yet, I feel so deeply and discovered what my anxiety looks like and feels like. This helps direct and guide me to boost my confidence.

6 ways to Lessen Your Anxiety and Raise Your Confidence

  1. Give yourself opportunities for you to succeed. No one gets to measure how big or small your opportunity is; this is yours and yours alone. Own it. Succeed at it. Boost you up!
  2. Practice how to handle life’s stressors. The art of practice and the art of talking to yourself is a great tool. This can help you prepare for an opportunity. It can help you weave in and out of the emotions, fear and help you soar to success.
  3. I am so much more when I am me Authenticity Authentic Truth True YouUse Lavender. This is a great plant and essential oil to help soothe, calm and relax you. If you are a lady dab 1-2 drops on a cotton ball and tuck this in your bra.  Or as a dude, you could dab 1-2 drops on a cotton ball and tuck this in your shirt pocket. Voila a great aroma and aromatherapy at the same time to soothe and calm you.
  4. Explore something new for you. Go an adventure new or re-visit an adventure. I used to pick a place on a map and go hike in a park. I discovered so much about me while exploring the beauty of nature.
  5. Move your body. Get up, get a movin. Even if it is for 15 mins. move your body. This could be gentle stretches, yoga, a nice stroll. Kick it up and run if you like.
  6. Just Do it! Don’t even give yourself time to think about it. This is a major anxiety stressor and opportunity killer. Count backwards 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and boom do it.

In this part of the two part series we will explore confidence. What it means and how you can have more of it in your life. In my previous blog, What’s Your Word of the Year, I share that my word of the year is confidence.

You may wonder how can I convey confidence to you; who better than one who is actually living the change; rather than one more person barking an idea at you. I do not know about you, but I am super tired of “people” yakking about subjects they have not experienced.

What Does Confidence Mean

The word begins with the meaning the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.

Let’s take a deeper look. It is the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.

Grateful heart Gratitude Self Love Self Care Magical BlessingsOr going even deeper. It is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.

Once upon a time due to a domestic violence situation, I learned to distrust, disallow and second guess everything. It shook my confidence to the core.

I am no longer that person.

Brimming

I am brimming with confidence. It is another way to say that I am full of confidence. Or what I like to call True Voice, Authentic Voice, and Who I am.

Good Vibrations

Imagine for a moment that you have your own unique style and quirks. You are not afraid to be you. You know you and use your voice in a positive manner that is beneficial to you.  When you speak your truth you will find yourself surrounded by others who have the same vibration. They may not seem like your peps, and yet, they are in your vibrational allegory.

Yep, that may mean that people who once seemed cool and adored you, may now find you off putting and vice versa. Your true authentic voice and vibration will light your path. This is confidence at its best. Being brave and courageous to unequivocally you! 

6 Simple Ways to Increase Your Confidence

  1. Groom yourself: It seems obvious and yet it is amazing on how good you can feel with a shower or bath. I have been in a horrible feeling and poof as if by magic the water cleansed me both inside and outside.
  2. Dress Nicely: Get dressed. There was a point in time where I would slide out of bed, run a brush through my tangled mass of hair, pull it back and throw on a shirt and shorts; no care, just going through the motion. We all need days like this to rest and veg; but not when it is day after day. Get dressed this will boost your mood big time.
  3. Anxiety and/or depression zappers: Stop worrying about the past and doubting the future.  Live right now at this moment. Right now you are reading this blog post. When you are done you have moved to another moment. Go slow; step by step. There is no race.Dream Big Make Happen Choice Chance Change Magical Blessings
  4. Mindful breathing. This can be meditation. Taking a 5 mins midday break where you breath deeply. Let your mind wander. Breath in and out. Just breath and let go of worry, anxiety.
  5. Speak slowly. Give yourself the benefit of not racing to an answer. If you really mean no. Inhale, take a deep breath, exhale and slowly say, no, thank you. When you slow you speech, you are able to connect with your true feelings. It is okay to say no.
  6. Set a goal/new habit. It takes 21 days to create a habit and 28 days for this to stick. Choose a goal/new habit. Set aside time and work on it for 15 mins each day. Mark on a calendar your success and at the end of 21/28 days celebrate. Not a small celebration. Make this huge!

You Can Do it! 

No matter how many times your have tried or where you are beginning, be proud of yourself for trying. You are an amazing, brave individual. Now go forth and build your confidence one step at a time.

9 Ways That Point You to Self Gratitude

We hear so much about how you should practice self-care and self-love. Rarely, do you hear about self-gratitude?  Sure it is great to be grateful and appreciate all the life has to offer you. Do you gratefully accept yourself and all that you have to offer?

You are an amazing person!

Take a moment and reflect back on your life. For a moment ponder a moment and take you out of the equation.  Would this have the same result? No, it would not. You offer something that no one else has, and no one else will ever have.

You are truly unique and amazing!

STOP COMPARING

Too many times in life, you may have looked over the fence to view what seems like greener grass on the other side. It’s like being in competition; yet, there is no one to really compete with.  Sure, if you are at a sporting event there is one team and you take sides. Should you subdivide you and take the side either for or against you?

Inhale and exhale. Repeat this three times. Each time you inhaled and exhaled was different. Each moment is different. You nourish yourself in many forms. Let’s celebrate the gratitude that you are and that you deserve.

This celebration is a celebration of you and you alone. It is too easy to slide into people pleaser mode, so take this one for you and only you.

Take a bit of time to be grateful for you and all that you do!

9 WAYS OF SELF GRATITUDE

  • Stop chastising yourself for not being further along your growth process. Appreciate how far you’ve come.
  • Celebrate any goal. It can be small or massive.
  • Accept compliments. Don’t deflect them away from you. Be grateful that someone sees how amazing you are!
  • Grateful heart Gratitude Self Love Self Care Magical BlessingsTry something new. A new recipe or  restaurant. Take a bite, swallow and enjoy.
  • Write yourself a love note. Get mushy, love you up.
  • Go on a date with you. If you wanna date another or have date nights get comfortable dating yourself.
  • Take time to do what makes you happy. If ya love music, sing;  ya love nature, go for a stroll/walk;  ya love to paint, dip that paint brush in the paint. Let go & enjoy!
  • Express yourself. Talk to yourself through it if you are uncertain about a situation; then go for it . Express yourself in a way that makes sense to you. If you desire lavender locks, go for it. If you wish to buy a piece of clothing that helps you express yourself, do it.
  • Ask yourself, “What do I really want?” Instead of “What should I want.”

Creating Your Life

You are the designer of your life. No one else can create this for you. Roll up your sleeves. Get messy and darn it enjoy you!
