Serenity comes from a deep inner connection of peace, courage and wisdom. You are able to make the changes that you need. What if you are unable to make a decision or change, then what?
Change is something that we discovery early on. How this is presented to your developing self is also how you will handle change.
Ultimately, change is the ability to make something different. This could be a simple as making a dot over the letter i or a heart. Or this could be as complex as a seed that continues to shift into different stages of growth to become that blooming flower.
Either way, change is different. Some people love differences and some fall into a complacent category. They find something that they like a certain way and continue this over and over. A toddler that likes only one meal and insists this to be the only food they will enjoy. Some parents will allow this and others will not.
How this change was presented to you is why you have anxiety.
Stop & reflect back to your childhood. Did you like change?
How was this presented to you with gentle kindness and nudges or full on I am the adult and you will do as I say assault?
If you were given the latter of the two suggestions is why you may dislike change. Yet, staying complacent is not for your greatest benefit.
Rolling with the Punches
Sure we have all heard of roll with the punches or if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. Let’s look at this in a different manner. Life will have its challenges; its ups & downs. Serenity provides the courage to be wise, and how to offer this wisdom so that others will respect you. If they choose not to respect you; then that is on them; you’ve done nothing wrong. You will show your power in another way; you decided to take the bull by the horns and just go for it.
Don’t let others get you down. You are amazing. So, someone didn’t like a pitch. Okay, there are others who may. Someone disliked your style of dressing; so be it, and why would you care what they think. Seriously, are they in charge of you. Nope! Therefore, do not be afraid to be the voice of reason or change.
In fact, I have found that one of my gifts in life is to be the pot stirrer. I do not think inside the box, and bring a fresh new perspective. If I stood back, nothing would change; in many situations I was the influencer, the innovator. Imagine if I did not find my voice to speak up and anxiously sat there. Nothing would have changed; and just like that I swoop in, create Divine Spirit’s changes and fly away to other assignments. On more than one occasion, I have been called a bitch or an angel depending on who responded. Many of the changes that I brought were life altering and even life saving.
Go ahead and be the serene change!
Now this brings up a touchy subject, but depending on how change was presented to you also affected your self-confidence. If you feel like a spawning salmon always swimming upstream to spawn, mate and die; yeah, this can have a negative impact. This breaks ya down; big time.
If you were given a gentle nudge and allowed to express your ideas and concerns you were also taught how to offer ideas and suggestions with confidence. This positively builds you up; big time.
Part of your personal growth is to discover what works and does not work for you. This should not hinder your progression. You deserve to have confidence and bring forth serenity.
Do it! Be the courageous wise one!
